New Website and Colors

The first thing you will see when you visit our home page on our site are the new colors. We have settled on the main colors being black and green.

The green represents growth and healing – exactly what we hope our products to do for your body. We chose black because of it’s classic and polished look.

You’ll also notice that the entirely new structure of the website. Yes, it’s all-new, but it’s also so much easier to navigate and find what you need.

The menu across the top of our website is clear and easy to understand. I highly recommend you click around and explore the new site!

Here’s what you’ll find:

New Siphon Draw Apothecary Packaging

This is something that has been in the works for a while now. Some of the products are in the new packaging and some are not. The old packaging will be phased out as we sell out of those products. So, if you order on our online shop- don’t be surprised if your favorite skincare products come in a new container.

Before the rebranding, we tried to use earth-friendly biodegradable cardboard/paper-based packaging for our lotions and body butter but we discovered that the packaging soaked up the natural oils and sometimes didn’t hold up during the delivery process.

This didn’t look quite as nice and it meant that the products didn’t last very long which did not sit well with us.

We are currently in the process of trying to switch entirely over to gorgeous black glass for all of our products. Check out our  Whipped Body Butter in the black glass!

As we start to incorporate more of these changes in packaging, please understand if you buy something and it arrives in a new glass jar, it’s the same product- just in a new jar!

If you are wondering why we chose to go with a glass jar, I’ll explain that next.

Glass Vs. Plastic

There are a ton of reasons why we decided to use glass jars instead of plastic ones but the biggest reason is that it’s so much better for our skincare products (and our planet)!

At the apothecary, we use all-natural oils from the earth when making our products in house. The black glass jars protect the products and help them last longer on your shelf than cardboard or plastic packaging would. The black glass filters out more light so the oils aren’t affected by rays from the sun.

We Want To Be Earth-Friendly

One of the other important reasons why we made the switch is because it’s also better for our planet.

Last year, I was walking along my favorite beach in Kauai, Hawaii and I saw a lot of multi-colored plastic littered around the water and in the sand. When I realized what all of this was, it really motivated me to make this change with our packaging as soon as I got back home.

I’m not sure you knew this but plastic containers are not biodegradable. Sure, you can recycle them, but you’d have to wash them out before you send them off and most people don’t take that extra step.

Production of plastic requires the use of fossil fuels, which are non-renewable. Glass, however, is made with sand, ash, limestone, and a few additives to bond it all together. These are all renewable resources that are less harmful to our planet.

It’s Safer When Using Essential Oils

Essential oils should always be stored in glass bottles and rollers because it prevents the oils from drawing toxins out from the plastic and putting them into our products.

Essential oils are very powerful and we have found dark amber or black glass bottles to work best when storing these oils.

We can’t wait to switch entirely over to all black glass. All things come in good time, so keep your eye out as we make this change slowly but surely.

There’s Still More To Come

As you can tell, my team and I are so excited about this rebranding for Siphon Draw Apothecary!

These are just the changes that you can see right now. We have plans for more changes and all of them have YOU in mind.

We truly appreciate all your support and we can’t say “thank you” enough. It means the world to us that we can live in Arizona and make a life-changing improvement in the lives of others who are all around the world with our organic products.
